World Forge

Shape a planet, breathe centuries of history into it, and put it online for others to enter — one desktop application takes a world from empty to alive.

What World Forge does

One tool, from an empty planet to a governed, living world.

I

Shape a Planet

Raise mountains, carve coastlines, and set the climate — plate by plate, biome by biome, on a world built from physical simulation, not hand-painted noise.

II

Populate It

Fill the land with flora and fauna suited to where they grow, then define the cultures, factions, religions, and crafts a civilization will build itself from.

III

Simulate Centuries

Run history forward at compressed time — let cultures form, crafts spread, and empires rise and fall long before a single player logs in.

IV

Write the World's Rules

Script custom events, house rules, and twists on the simulation — make the world behave exactly as you intend, not just as it generates.

V

Launch It

Package the finished world and put it online — host it yourself, or hand it to an operator who will.

VI

Govern It

Step into a live console once players are in, to moderate, intervene, and steer the world's course as it plays out.

How a world comes together

Every world starts empty and moves through the same stages — each one physically simulated, not painted on.

I

Crust & Coastlines

Tectonic plates drift and collide, raising mountain ranges and carving the coastlines that follow.

II

Wind & Climate

Sun, wind, and ocean currents set temperature and rainfall across the map, region by region.

III

Rivers & Erosion

Water finds its way downhill, cutting valleys and shaping the land the way real terrain forms over time.

IV

Biomes & Life

The land is classified into dozens of biomes and populated with the flora and fauna suited to each.

V

Centuries of History

Run the clock forward and let cultures, crafts, and beliefs take root long before anyone arrives.

A world with a past

History, already written

Arrive to a world with a past, not an empty map.

World Forge can advance a world's history by centuries or millennia before any player ever connects — running the same civilization simulation the game runs live, just compressed. Cultures spread, crafts get invented and forgotten, and empires rise and fall on their own.

  • Advance centuries or millennia before a single player connects
  • Watch cultures, crafts, and beliefs rise and spread on their own
  • Arrive to a world with real history, not an empty map

Author the world's rules

Make the world your own

Define the ideas a civilization lives by — then script what happens next.

Beneath every civilization is a web of memes — crafts, creeds, and institutions that spread from person to person. World Forge lets you author that web directly, define the factions and religions built on it, and script custom events and rules on top.

  • Define the crafts, creeds, and institutions that drive your world
  • Script custom events and rules with a built-in scripting layer
  • Shape the flora, fauna, and factions to fit the world you imagined

Launch & govern

From your desktop to a living server

Take a finished world online, then keep a hand on the wheel.

A finished world packages up and launches as its own persistent server — host it yourself, or hand it to an operator to run. Once it's live and players are inside it, a live admin console keeps you connected to moderate and steer its course.

  • Package a finished world and put it online
  • Host it yourself or hand it to an operator
  • Step into a live console to moderate and steer the world while players are in it
